Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident Family Member,

RE: COVID-19 Outbreak Update for Residents and Families: Calvary Haydon Retirement Community

Further to our update earlier today, we want to inform residents and families that test results for all residents have been returned and at the time of writing, the number of confirmed positive cases remain the same:

  • Eight (8) residents (all residents of the Mary Potter household); and
  • Three (3) members of staff (all self-isolating at home).

Residents who have tested positive to COVID-19, their families and doctors, have been contacted directly by the facility and provided with an update on current health and wellbeing.

Calvary continues to work closely with the ACT Public Health Unit on contact tracing, the testing of residents and staff including the maintaining of the safest possible care environment for residents and staff under outbreak conditions.

As advised by ACT Health, the retesting of residents and staff is planned to occur every 72 hours. The ACT Public Health Unit has arranged for the next round of testing to take place on Sunday morning.

For more information and regular situation updates, please visit: www.calvarycoronavirusupdates.org.au

We will continue to contact the listed person responsible for each resident by phone on a daily basis and email an update with any developments.

Thank you for your patience at this challenging time and for working with us to ensure the safety of your loved ones in our care.

You can help us to ease anxiety by sharing this information with other family and friends.

Sincerely,

Martin Bowles, National CEO

Barb Reid, Regional CEO - ACT
