This week sees the launch of our Zero Tolerance campaign, which provides a new online reporting system for incidents of sexual harrassment and sexual violence. Read all about it below, then stand with our university and the Students' Union by taking the Zero Tolerance pledge.

This week we also send congratulations to the winners of the Students' Union Leadership Elections. Well done to everyone on some fantastic campaigns this year. Meet your 2018/19 Leaders below.

We are calling on you to nominate staff who have made your student journey a memorable one. Nominate outstanding staff in the Golden Robes awards now!

As we near the end of  the Semester, and you may be working on assignments, remember all of the people at our university who are here to support your studies. Who has made a difference to you?

This year we have joined forces with the Students’ Union to bring you the Golden Robes, where we celebrate outstanding staff nominated by both students and peers for their contributions.

You can nominate staff in a variety of categories and all nominations will be judged by a student-led panel, with those shortlisted invited to a celebration event alongside the students who nominated them, where the winners will be announced. Nominate now!

Do you Write Right?

The Library and Students’ Union (SU) Advice Service are joining forces this week to raise awareness of the need to Write Right – a campaign ran by the SU to help you avoid plagiarism and ensure you reference correctly. Look out for stalls at both campuses, Skills for Learning workshops and information on the web.

Mindfulness walks at Kirkstall Abbey

From 13 -18 March you can explore the stunning grounds of Kirkstall Abbey following a route specially designed by the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre. The walk has been designed with reference to practices observed by the Cistercian monks who lived there. Part of this week's Museums and Wellbeing Week.

Society leader, Jaykishan Raithatha, explains: “Every student at Leeds Beckett who is interested in knowing the cultural diversity of India should join, as well as students who are interested in yoga as a medial form of meditation.”
