COVID-19 Vaccines: Vaccination toolkit and new webpage for disability providers

The Australian Government Department of Health (Department of Health) has released new resources to help you prepare for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

Disability provider COVID-19 Vaccine readiness toolkit

The Australian Government Department of Health has released a vaccination toolkit for disability providers, to help you prepare for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

It includes:

  • checklists for planning and delivering vaccinations, including site readiness requirements
  • consent guidance material
  • information on roles and responsibilities for COVID-19 vaccination at disability residential accommodation sites
  • guidelines for monitoring and reporting side effects.

Webpages about the vaccine roll out

The Department of Health now has a dedicated information webpage for disability service providers about COVID-19 vaccines. It contains information and resources to help you plan for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

This, and the Department of Health’s webpage for people with disability will continue to be updated, so we strongly encourage you to visit these pages regularly.

NDIS Commission COVID-19 information and resources

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) information webpage on the NDIS Commission website contains links to updates, training, alerts and other resources.

We also have a COVID-19 webpage containing information for people with disability, and a webpage of frequently asked questions about COVID-19 for all stakeholders.

NDIS participants can also obtain information from the dedicated COVID-19 webpage for participants, which has been published by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
