8 WEEK PROGRAM I COMMENCING MONDAY 23RD OF JULY, 2018 I 6:30PM - 9:30PM
We are so thrilled to welcome Andy McPhee to our Melbourne studio, for what is going to be a challenging eight weeks of intensive scene study. Spanning over three decades, Andy has had an incredible career as an actor both in Australia and the United States, working on everything from period dramas to children's television. From the international award winning (cult classic) Australian film Bad Boy Bubby, to home grown serial drama Home & Away, there is not a genre that Andy McPhee hasn’t explored.
He has worked on multi-award winning prime time dramas including Wentworth; Wolf Creek; East West 101; Jack Irish; The Doctor Blake Mysteries; Underbelly; Marshall Law; City Homicide; Rush; The Secret Life of Us, All Saints; McLeod’s Daughters; Stingers and Neighbours; to children’s television series’ Pirate Islands; H20 Just Add Water and Scooter: Secret Agent, mini-series Gallipoli, and iconic Australian feature films: Animal Kingdom; Wolf Creek and December Boys, amongst others. Andy has also starred in a number of US projects over the years, including crime drama television institution Criminal Minds, but it was his role as Keith “McGee” McGee on another hugely successful crime drama series, Sons of Anarchy (created by Kurt Sutter), that brought him international notoriety. Since then, Andy has gone from strength to strength, with several projects currently in pre and post-production.
As Andy is based in Los Angeles, we are only able to confirm him for our Term 3 block of Scene Study, so don't miss this wonderful opportunity to work with him. Actors will explore various genres throughout the eight weeks, with an emphasis on crime drama. All scenes will be performed to camera and played back each week for constructive feedback.
Scene Study with Andy McPhee will contain adult content, therefore this program is strictly for mature actors aged 18 years and over. Actors applying for a placement must also have had previous training and/or film/tv credits. Places are strictly limited.
