Ingenuity

 PASTOR'S BLOG

Maybe we should ask NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) to supervise things here on earth. After all, they sure do well operating on another planet! On April 19 the world watched as the four-pound, 19.3-inch tall drone (rotorcraft), dubbed the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, lifted off the dusty rocks of the Martian surface. Breathlessly, NASA's Ingenuity team at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California monitored the action 173 million miles away, as Ingenuity whirled up to an altitude of ten feet, hovered there for 30 seconds, and returned to the Mars surface.

Andrews Academy—Partnering for Eternity

Andrews Academy’s Partnering for Eternity (PFE) students are fundraising during April for their scholarship/work program. May 2, they will be participating in a 5K Walkathon to demonstrate their commitment to PFE and gratitude for your support. PFE is a program that partners students with older adults in the community to promote inter-generational, mutually beneficial relationships, and support Adventist education.

AA PFE students have worked creatively during this COVID time to brighten and ease the lives of their mentors. Accomplishing mostly outside chores until the end of January, they have also delivered care packages and meals; written letters, poetry, and drawn pictures; read books, played board games, and shared worship thoughts via video conferencing with their mentors. These students receive an $800.00 scholarship per semester via a grant and generous donations from people like you.

Support these students’ efforts to help fund this phenomenal program by scanning the QR code with your smartphone’s camera, which will take you directly to our official donation page, or contact the PFE 9-12 coordinator, Joelle Ashley, at joellea@fullylive.com. Thank you, in advance, for your prayers and generosity.
