The sweet dreams of summer! Dearest friends, What a difference a month makes! In the last couple of weeks, we’ve moved on from what felt like the world’s longest winter to all of the joys of spring and the collective excitement to reclaim the summer for hugging friends and family and dancing until our shoes fall off... We are SOLD OUT! With all the excitement that came from the announcement of the UK Government’s roadmap and the days of sunshine that followed, all remaining tickets were snapped up! A huge thank you to all who rolled tickets over from last year, got involved with the relaunch in October, to the confident ones who’ve been steadily buying them over the past few months, and to all of you who jumped on in to snap up the remaining tickets, welcome. It’s still a long and rather complicated road to get there, but if we’re allowed to go ahead, words will never be able to fully describe the sheer love and energy that will radiate through this years’ fair. Ticket Resale: 1st June If you, unfortunately, missed out on getting your hands on a ticket for 2021, then there will be a limited number of tickets available for resale on Tuesday 1st June. Refunds & Selling to Friends For anyone with a ticket who is no longer able to attend and requires a refund or wishes to sell their ticket to a friend, we will be opening a secure resale platform and offering an open refund on all tickets later this month. Stay tuned to our social media platforms and website for more information coming soon... Do Not Buy Tickets from People You Do Not Know! Every year fraudulent tickets are sold, and sadly this only increases when the event sells out early. We CANNOT guarantee entry for any tickets not purchased directly through Ticket Sellers nor can we validate tickets for people who are not the ticket owners. Make sure you sign up for the resale above or stay tuned for info on the secure selling platform. Again, please, please do not buy tickets from random people on social media or third-party selling sites, no matter how nice they may seem - we sadly have to turn away many people at the gates every single year, don't let that be you! ❤️ What will Boomtown 2021: Chapter One - The Gathering look like? The Government roadmap announcement the other day has thankfully allowed us to bring back some of our team to start the planning for Chapter One and the amazing vision we launched back in October 2020. Please follow the link below for a full walkthrough of our new world, what this means to us, and what it means for all citizens. What are the impacts of COVID on the festival? For the event industry, especially independent large scale festivals such as ours, the road in front of us is still very complicated and unclear. For the unknown elements such as testing etc., we have to wait for the Government decision before we can finalise. We are doing everything we can to be as up to speed as possible by working within advisory groups to help assist with the guidance for festivals reopening and we are very much part of the conversation to understand how, as an industry, we might be able to operate safely this summer. There will be a lot more to say on this as we go through the ‘roadmap’ over the next few months, so be sure to keep an eye on our COVID page here: Our position is as it has been since we launched back in October, cautiously optimistic, but rest assured we will do everything in our power to make sure we can all dance in those fields together this summer! For now, keep connecting to those around you, even if it’s on Zoom or the phone. As we said nearly a year ago, it’s not socially distanced, just physically distanced. We’re nearly through this, and we’ve got you! Head on over to our social channels to join the conversation and be part of making this summer one to tell the grandkids about, even
if you’re standing right next to them at the festival! BIGGEST LOVE, |
