Our annual Harvest Moon Mix & Match Derby Contest finals are happening on Nov 4 to the live music of Nick Rossi Swing Six.
Come support our finalists. Prizes include passes to Camp Hollywood, Camp Jitterbug, and Swingin' at the Savoy!

We are hosting our first DJ training series. Come learn deejaying skills with Anton and get to chance to DJ a mini-set this month at WNH!

11/4: Nick Rossi Swing Six
San Francisco’s Nick Rossi Swing Six is Northern California’s premiere vintage 1930s-1940s style swing band. Their mix of tempos, set pacing, outstanding musicianship, and stylish stage presentation all add up for a guaranteed great night of dancing. Come dance with us!

November Series
Beginners:
8-count Lindy Hop
Come learn Lindy Hop! You'll build the dance from the basics while learning some of the history of this Black American art form. Our progressive classes are designed to get you social dancing and having a blast at our dance parties in no time.
Fundamentals: Classic Lindy Hop Moves
We are excited to work with you on some of the most common rhythms and patterns. If you've been looking to learn more moves, this is the class for you. We'll learn about famous Lindy Hoppers who pioneered this dance.
Intermediate: Jazz Vocabulary & Solo Dancing
We often say in Lindy Hop that we should be should be creative in our dancing, but how do you do that? In this class, I’ll be going over the basics of Solo Jazz, and how to put it in your dancing. This class is drop-in friendly.
Adventure: DJ Training
DJs play a vital role in our dance community, they play the music that keeps our weekly dances running. If you’ve ever been intrigued by what goes into DJing or even trying it for yourself, this is the class to get you started!
Audition: Conversations in Solo Jazz
Dancing solo is part of the "secret sauce" to improving quality of movement, balance, timing, and making up ideas. In this class, you'll build up your solo skills to learn how to visually lead/follow, notice ideas, and build on something you see.
Fast Room
11/11: DJ Collin
WNH will dedicate a room to all things “fast swing.” This could mean uptempo Lindy Hop, or dancing other swing dances such as Balboa or Collegiate Shag that evolved with faster music. Give it a whirl.
