GRAB N GO SERVICE

In light of recent changes to the NSW Public Health Order, Waverley Library will reintroduce the popular Grab n Go service from Tuesday 5th October. Please be patient with us as we work to have this service available, while ensuring our community's health and safety. Reserve your items now and we will SMS or email you when they are available to collect. Keep an eye out on our website, eNewsletter and the Waverley Library Facebook page for further updates.

HOOPLA! STORYLAND YOGA

Storyland Yoga is a fun-filled adventure that teaches kids yoga poses while also incorporating eco-conscious messages. In Save the Whale and Condor Trek, kids will engage in a story where they learn yoga by imitating animals. HSC MATHS LECTURE WITH HARRY MAVROLEFTEROS

AUTHOR TALK: PAUL VAN REYK ON TRUE TO THE LAND
Wednesday 20 October, 6 - 7 pm via Zoom

Spanning 65,000 years, Paul van Reyk’s book provides a history of food in Australia beginning with the arrival of the first peoples and their stewardship of the land. The book describes how food production in Australia is subject to the constraints of climate, water and soil, leading to centuries of unsustainable agricultural practices post-colonisation. LOCAL HISTORY SNAPSHOT: WAVERLEY IN 1887

If you have ever wondered what Waverley looked like on the 13 December 1887, the Sydney Morning Herald has the perfect article for you. Hitting all the high points that you want to know about our area, like - how many miles of roads it has (42), the status of its sewerage, if it has a cemetery (even if the death rate is unusually low!), and even how many gas lamps there are (186).
