CHANGE IN COMMUNICATIONS – LCA eNews and Heartland eNews
This month you will notice a change in the news bulletins coming out of the LCA National Office. The former President’s Page is being replaced with two eNews publications:
LCA eNews will come to you fortnightly and contain much of the information you are accustomed to – notices from around the church, prayer points, and current information on calls and employment opportunities.
Heartland eNews will come to you occasionally as a communications tool from the bishop’s desk. It is an extension of the ‘Heartland’ column in The Lutheran and will contain comments and information about important matters before the church.

FOR THE LEAST OF THESE – LUTHERANS FOR LIFE CONFERENCE

GROW MINISTRIES NATIONAL CONFERENCE
At LCA General Synod in April this year Grow Ministries (LCA Child Youth and Family Ministry) was launched. A new phase of ministry to children, young people and their families began. You and the leadership of your congregation are invited to attend the very first Grow Ministries National Conference: Re-thinking Child, Youth and Family Ministry, September 5-6, 2013 in Brisbane.  Presenters include Pastor Greg Priebbenow, Lead Pastor St John’s Lutheran Church, Bundaberg, Monty Lysne, Director of Discipleship Ministries, St Peter’s Lutheran Church Loxton and Jo Jones, Grow Ministries Resource Coordinator. The conference will help you and your leaders re-think the way we do ministry to children, young people and their families; and think about how CYFM can become part of the DNA of your congregation, from your Church Council to your worship team and your ministry to parents and families. It is not too late to register. Please register by contacting Leah Cronin leah.cronin@lca.org.au for a copy of the brochure and registration form.
