International expert event: radicalisation and violent extremism (14 October, Barcelona)
Together with its partners of the Criminal Justice Platform (EuroPris and the European Forum for Restorative Justice) CEP will organize a one day seminar on Radicalisation in Barcelona on Wednesday 14 October 2015. The event will be hosted by the Centre for Legal Studies of the Catalonian Ministry of Justice.
Final seminar on Improving Measures Related to Detention Conditions at EU Level (15 October, Trier)
ERA (Ramin Farinpour) in cooperation with Fair Trials International (FTI), the Council of Europe and the European Organisation of Prison and Correctional Services (EuroPris) organise this final seminar in a series co-funded by the European Commission. Focus is on the EU’s Green Paper on detention and the ongoing debate and developments surrounding it.
ICPA Annual conference (25 October, Melbourne, Australia)
This year’s ICPA Annual Conference’s will be hosted by the Corrections Victoria. The conference theme provides a broad platform on which to share our systems, knowledge and experience in Correctional practice and will allow delegates to explore, learn and share our collective wisdom across many areas.
Justice and Security in Intercultural Europe: Exploring Alternatives (16 November, Leuven)
The project ALTERNATIVE is a four-year research project funded by the FP 7 Programme of the European Commission. Its aim is to look for different ways to define justice and security approaches in intercultural settings through implementing restorative justice practices. The project is organising its final conference on 16, 17 and 18 November 2015 in Leuven, Belgium.
Transforming Rehabilitation: Delivering through the gate and beyond (8 December, London)
Structural reforms to prisons sought to create a genuine ‘through the gate’ service creating continuity between custody and community, easing the transition and preventing reoffending. Almost one year on and where are we now? The conference will be designed so that delegates walk away with a better understanding of how the MoJ’s original desires are being delivered in practice and how the current service provided to offenders across England and Wales can be improved.
International Symposium on the 10th Anniversary of Probation in Turkey (8 December, Istanbul)
The International Symposium on 10th Anniversary of Probation in Turkey will be held on 8-10 December 2015 in Istanbul by Turkish Department of Probation, General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses, Ministry of Justice.
It is aimed with this symposium;

to interchange the 10 years experience of Probation with the stakeholders in the international platform and especially with the countries in the region ,

to share the good practices in Europe and in the world ,

to evaluate the studies of the local and global academic circles and

to provide opportunity for probation officers to exchange experiences.
CEP - Europris workshop on the use of e-learning methods (10 December, Dublin)
After a first successful workshop on Education and Training, which took place in Amersfoort (the Netherlands) in December 2013, now CEP planned a follow-up event for 10-11 December 2015 in Dublin (Ireland). The workshop will be jointly organised with Europris.
The theme will be “Use of E-learning methods” and the event will be an in-depth working on the possibilities, development and implementation of e-learning and all processes related to it.
