EWA ELECTION RESULTS
EWA is pleased to announce the successful candidates following the closure of the ballot for the 2017 EWA Annual Election.
The EWA Board had 1 vacancy for an Ordinary Director (2017-2020) and the successful candidate was Anne Avery.
The Dressage WA Committee had 2 vacancies for Elected Committee Members (2017-2020) and the successful candidates were Stephanie Munro and Valrie Mayger.
Thank you to all of the candidates who applied and to the members who took the time to submit a vote.

SEC COMMUNITY FORUM MONDAY 27 NOV.
A reminder that EWA, with the support of the City of Swan, will be holding a Community Engagement Forum at 6:30pm Monday 27 November at the State Equestrian Centre to discuss the venue and its place in the local community.
This is an opportunity for users of the SEC, as well as the general public, to learn more about the centre and assist in ensuring it has a bright and sustainable future for many years to come. MORE

EWA ANNUAL AWARDS: ONE WEEK TO NOMINATE
Nominations for the 2017 EWA Annual Awards will be closing on November 30. If you know someone that deserves recognition for their success or contribution to the WA equestrian community, nominate them for an Award and they could be selected as one of the finalists recognised at the EWA Awards Night being held 2 February 2018.

2017 EWA MEMBER SURVEY
The EWA Member Survey was created to help us understand what is important to our members to ensure our services and programs remain relevant in an ever-changing environment. MENTAL HEALTH IN EQUESTRIAN SPORT
Equestrian Australia has announced that they want to boost the awareness of common mental health issues that arise in the sporting community where there is currently a lack of information and education. EA is going to develop an online workshop to inform and educate equestrian community members about these issues and provide this as an additional elective on the coaching pathway in 2018. MORE

2018 FEI REGISTRATIONS OPEN
Equestrian Australia is now processing FEI Registrations for the 2018 Calendar Year. FEI Registrations are mandatory under the rules of the FEI and must be renewed before entering your first FEI Competition each calendar year (the FEI season being 1 January - 31 December). MORE

NADINE MEREWETHER NAMED EA COACH OF THE MONTH
EWA would like to congratulate Nadine Mereweather on being featured as the Equestrian Australia Coach of the Month for November. Nadine - or 'Niddy' as she is known by many - is an EA Level 3 General Coach and former coach educator, examiner and dressage judge. Although no longer competing, she was very successful at both a state and national level, and some may remember the impressive long reining dressage displays she gave with her Lipizzaner stallion 'Pluto Nimo XII ' owned by Georgina Beard.
