Artificial Intelligence in Community Sport Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be a useful and powerful tool for community sport organizations to enhance their capacity as well as improve the experience for the organization’s staff, volunteers, and participants. Our December Community Sport Hero, Julien Leblanc, created a digital cheat sheet on the use of AI, and delivered a captivating presentation on AI for community sport organizations at November’s Ottawa Sport Summit, which is available to view on YouTube in its entirety. MLSE Change the Game Report Last month, the MLSE Foundation released its third Change the Game report. The Ottawa Sport Council strongly believe in the need to Change the Game so that sport participation will be more inclusive for all. We were very honoured to participate as a member of the project’s advisory panel. Ontario Trillium Fund Capital Grant The Grant Window for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s capital grant is now open. In the Capital grant stream, OTF funds projects that update buildings, enhance spaces, and purchase fixed and non-fixed equipment so people and communities can thrive. Cathy works with the West Ottawa Soccer Club, where she is the Club Head Coach for the U4-U7 age group, and the coordinator of the WeeWarriors program. A variety of factors, including a poor relationship between officials, coaches, and spectators can be attributed to this shortage. 2023 Year in Review 2023 marked the 10th anniversary of the Ottawa Sport Council and offered the opportunity to reflect on the OSC’s work over the last decade and look forward to the future. It has been making inroads into various industries and sectors, including sports, for several decades. Subvention d’immobilisations de la Fondation Trillium de l'Ontario La fenêtre de candidature pour la subvention d’immobilisations de la Fondation Trillium de l’Ontario (FTO) est maintenant ouverte. Dans le cadre du volet des subventions d’immobilisations, la FTO finance des projets visant à moderniser des bâtiments, à améliorer des espaces et à acheter du matériel fixe et non fixe afin que les gens et les communautés puissent s’épanouir.
