On The Up

Dr Tony Gallagher (1959) has recently published a memoir about growing up in Perth and his relationship with his father. On The Up is a touching and intriguing read that explores the familial troubles and experiences of growing up in a migrant family in WA in the 50s.

Dr Gallagher's professional life began at high schools in Western Australia (1965), after which (1970), he joined the Commonwealth Public service. Later, (1974), he became a Foreign Expert at Peking University. Preferring to burn out, not to rust out in retirement, he continues to write and teach English gratis.

Available to purchase on Amazon, Google Books and Barnes & Noble.
