Opportunities
Get Involved in London’s Public Data Festival The Knowledge Quarter is excited to join London Data Week 2026 - London’s public data festival from 6-12 July - as a lead delivery partner, celebrating the role of data and AI in improving the lives of Londoners. Anyone, from any organisation, can apply to run events or activities, especially those promoting open, inclusive and collaborative data practices, and looking to engage communities who don't usually participate. Need a venue? Partner spaces (including our own event space) are available to apply for. Give Back Locally: Trustee (Treasurer) Wanted at STCA Somers Town Community Association (STCA) is seeking to recruit an experienced Trustee to join its Board and help guide the organisation through an exciting new era in its long history as a community anchor and forward-thinking charity, in the heart of Somers Town, King’s Cross. The charity is looking for someone with financial and bookkeeping expertise to help grow its reserves and exploit a host of exciting new opportunities effectively, such as the British Library extension and the influx of new scientific organisations in the Knowledge Quarter. Applicants can expect a rewarding challenge and a friendly, diverse Board. Get in touch to register your interest in the role by 5 PM on 9 March. Support Our Local Traders: Caledonian Road Flood Appeal On 24 February, a burst water pipe caused severe flooding along Caledonian Road, leaving many much‑loved independent businesses facing disastrous damage. The Caledonian Road Traders Association (CTA) is raising funds to help these businesses get back on their feet. Your support will enable local traders to replace essential items, carry out urgent recovery works, and reopen their doors as soon as possible, protecting the livelihoods that make our high street what it is. Apply to LIFT’s New Entrepreneur 'Funding School' LIFT’s latest entrepreneur programme 'Funding School' is open for applications, helping early-stage business founders gain clarity on funding. Over 5 weeks (11 March–15 April), participants receive practical tools and expert guidance through weekly sessions. Open to 18+ residents of Camden, Hackney, and Islington with tech, digital, creative, or life sciences businesses. Applications close 2 March. Apply to the Camden's Diversity Fund Businesses led by people from diverse backgrounds can apply for £20,000–£500,000 in flexible, repayable finance to support creative industries, local employment, or community-focused initiatives in Camden. Applications are reviewed by a Diversity Panel of residents and entrepreneurs. Applications close 6 April.
