The Niagara Children’s Water Festival is a unique opportunity for Grade 4 classes across Niagara to engage in hands-on activities that educate students about the importance of our most valuable natural resource - water. The goal of the festival is to empower children to initiate behaviourial change within their homes, schools and communities.
This four-day educational festival includes 30 interactive and hands-on activity centres run by event partners, as well as other local water, nature and conservation organizations. Each activity focuses on one or more key pillars of learning: water conservation, water protection, water attitude, water science and water technology. In addition to student participation, around 1,500 parents, teachers and volunteers are expected to take part in the festival over the four days.
