CAFE CON SYLVIA EAST END

On Saturday, July 11th I will host a Café Con Sylvia in the East End. These informal “coffees” are a great way to interact with your fellow neighborhood leaders and to discuss issues important to the community.  We will meet at 8am at Don Carlos Restaurant located at 416 76th Street at 8am. Please RSVP by calling (713) 923-7575, or emailing Derek.Darnell@senate.state.tx.us. Hope to see you there!

MESSAGE FROM SYLVIA

This last Saturday, July 4th, marked the 239th birthday of the United States. As another celebration of the founding of our republic passes, perhaps it is an appropriate time to observe and reflect on how far we have come, and how far we have to go, towards ensuring that all Americans have equal access to the American Dream. I celebrated this national holiday by paying tribute to those who laid the groundwork for the freedoms we enjoy today. I hope you had a great 4th of July and made sure to wave your flag to honor our nation and those that have defended it.

Putting People First,

Sylvia
