  4. Encourage your friends, family, colleagues or members of any groups you may belong to, to also show their support by sending an email or writing a personal letter to their federal member of parliament.

HELMET TAGGING & MILNE FEEDS LECTURE

Plenty of eventing riders attended the June Milne Feeds lecture at the State Equestrian Centre to take the opportunity to get their helmets tagged and verified.

Take note that we will also be tagging helmets at the next Milne Feeds lecture on Wednesday 17th July 2019 at the Coolup Community Centre!

Next lecture topic is yet to be decided as we are giving YOU the choice to decide from the a variety of options.

APPLY NOW FOR THE REMI STUD YOUNG RIDER SCHOLARSHIP 2019

The Remi Stud Young Rider Scholarship is an annual Scholarship and is awarded to a very deserving Young Rider who has the talent and dedication in either dressage, showing, or eventing, but needs financial assistance to purchase a horse of their dreams.

Cheryl O’Brien from Remi Stud has put together a great team of Supporters to help make this dream come true for one lucky young rider.

This Scholarship is an amazing opportunity for a young rider to have entry into the equestrian industry with support from a variety of Supporters.

The Scholarship includes the ownership of a purpose-bred Hanoverian weanling by Lauries As (imp) plus a support package which includes feed from Prydes Easifeed, registration with Equestrian Queensland, marketing from Equestrian Australia and the Brisbane CDI, legal support from HorseForce, a saddle, bridle and saddlecloth from Edwards Saddleworld, 10 weeks training by Team Van Den Berge, show product from Dr Show, riding attire from Belrock Equestrian, Veterinary care from Westvets, registration and merchandise from the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia, hoof care from Meaker Farrier Services, and transport by Manuel Equine Transport.  A total package valued at over $30,000.

This year’s Scholarship foal would suit dressage, showing and/or eventing and will be a very exciting addition to any competitive stable.

EWA ORIENTATION TO COACHING COURSE 2019

Starting 8.45 registration program running from 9am - 3pm

To make your bookings please go through Nominate to register your interest.

Please ensure the following pre requisites have been met prior to Registering to attend this course
These include;

  • Hold current EWA Membership
  • Completed EA Introductory Riding/Vaulting Lunger Certificate
  • Completed EA Introductory Horse Management Certificate
  • To be completed prior to completing the Introductory Coaching Course:
  • Hold current First Aid Certificate (eg Provide First Aid Course HLT AID 003)
  • Completed ASC Beginning Coaching Course -can be done free online www.ausport.gov.au
  • The ASADA Level 1 Anti-Doping Course (online)
  • Hold a current working with children card

These will be presented at the special awards evening on Saturday 6th July. All competitors are welcome.

Entries are now open for the DWA Dressage Development Series August Event 22 – 25 August.

This event is a practice event for State Championships with 5*FEI Judge Maria Schwennesen!

Also featuring a Young Horse/Pony programme on Thursday and a Medium to Grand Prix intensive on Friday.
Saturday training tests, mini-seminars, demonstrations and lunch with Maria for riders of all levels.

Maria is friendly, supportive and approachable and you will benefit greatly from her experience & expertise.

2019 WINTER JUMPING FESTIVAL & HORSELAND YOUNG SHOWJUMPING HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP

Indoors at Brookleigh, 29 & 30 June

New Format!!

The programme will be up this weekend at www.globalentriesonline.com.au. Entries open early next week, with SRSJC Members getting a 2-day head start with Early Entries.
This year's new format gives the 4, 5, 6 & 7 Year Old Horses two ways to win, in jumping competition classes that have separate 'Style' assessments, led by interstate World Cup rider,  Russell Johnstone.
4 & 5 Year old age classes on Saturday; 6 & 7 year old classes are on Sunday, with open competition classes on both Saturday and Sunday.

SPECIAL SPONSORSHIP & PRIZE FOR YOUNG HORSE CHAMPION! 
Bates revolutionary saddle will be launched at this show - and the 2019 Champion Young Showjumping Horse takes one home!

The ARCA Winter Challenge is being hosted by Wanneroo Adult Equestrian Club Inc. on July 21st!
There is lots more information to come, but for now we can announce that it will be a Working Hunter format with jump heights from poles to 95cm and walk/trot or walk/trot/canter classes.
