For many Care Experienced people, these feelings aren’t new, but have been exacerbated by the pandemic. Many of you have continued to support our charity throughout the year by volunteering, making donations and taking part in fundraising activities - we thank you for that. Normally at this time of year we are planning our Christmas Day dinner for Care Experienced people, but due to government restrictions, that will not be possible. Rather than be disheartened, we have focused our energy into understanding what Care Experienced people need, what is important to them and what we can do to help. One of our members has written a letter explaining what Care Family Christmas means to them. How can I help? Can you help by donating to Who Cares? Scotland this Christmas? Your donation could help us make a Care Experienced person's wish come true! Your donation could help us send a Christmas card, a Christmas special SpeakOut magazine and an all important chocolate santa to a Care Experienced person. Your donation could help us run a digital connection event and keep our helpline open throughout the holidays – including Christmas Day. Most importantly, your donation will let a Care Experienced person know that you care. If you have any questions about this email, please respond to comms@whocaresscotland.org. Take care and stay safe. The Who Cares? Scotland Team x |
