Ministry Teams arrive at the Boardwalk Chapel in Wildwood, New Jersey, as OPC summer short-term missions take off in all directions

Summer STMs Are Underway

Summer short-term missions took off in June:

• Wildwood, NJ - Boardwalk Chapel
• Haiti - Team Haiti
• Quebec - English for Kids Bible Camps

...and will continue in July:

• Asia - Teaching English to university students
• Quebec - English for Kids Bible Camps
• Uruguay - English Club outreach
• Wildwood, NJ - Boardwalk Chapel
• Wisconsin - Venture Missions outreach

...with team members from around the country:

• The current tally shows 12 presbyteries, 19 states, and 36 OPC churches represented on STM teams this summer.

Boardwalk Chapel Summer Staff

June 2018 

The Volunteer Staff arrived at the Boardwalk Chapel earlier this month and plunged into training in preparation for the busy summer season!

Boardwalk Chapel Ministry Teams - Week 1

June 16-23, 2018 

Groups from New Hope OPC (Frederick, MD), and WestMont Christian Academy (Pottstown, PA), served together as Ministry Teams during Week 1 at the Boardwalk Chapel.

Team Haiti 

June 23-July 5, 2018 

Team Haiti is currently serving with OP Missionary Ben Hopp and his family, presenting VBS programs at churches on the island of La Gonave.

Team members are from Prescott OPC (Prescott, AZ); Bonita OPC (Bonita, CA); Living Hope OPC (Allentown, PA); Lake Sherwood OPC (Orlando, FL); Calvin OPC (Phoenix, AZ); Tyler OPC (Tyler, TX), Franklin Square OPC (Franklin Square, NY); and Grace OPC (Costa Mesa, CA).

English for Kids Bible Camps - Week 1

June 25-29, 2018 

The first of four weeks of English for Kids Bible Camps is currently taking place in Quebec at St-Marc's Reformed Church where OP Missionary Ben Westerveld serves as Pastor.

The Week 1 team, organized by New Life OPC (Montoursville, PA), also includes members of Bethel OPC (Broomfield, CO); Staunton OPC (Staunton, VA); Immanuel OPC (Upton, MA); Apple Valley OPC (Neenah, WI); New Hope OPC (Green Bay, WI); Franklin Square OPC (Franklin Square, NY); and Blessings CRC (Hamilton, ON).

OPC Disaster Response

June 9-16, 2018: A large Youth Group from Dutton URC (Caledonia, Michigan) served with the OPC Hurricane Relief Ministry in Houston. 

"They proved to be very well organized and joyful in their work and play time. Each one displayed a humble spirit that shows the love of Christ in all they do."

Hiatus in Houston

Announcing a brief hiatus in the Hurricane Relief Ministry in Houston: Volunteer work will be suspended in July, August, and September, and will resume in October.
