Throwback Thursday ⌛

Did you know the current location for Rooster's Coffeehouse was once a student lounge in the 1970s? If you look closely, the couches at the very back are now where our community orders their favourite refreshments with colleagues!

November 15 will mark 50 years since CKCU FM first hit the airwaves in 1975. The very first song broadcast was Joni Mitchell's 'You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio', and the Arts Tower—now known as Dunton Tower—was lit up with a giant "93.1", signaling the arrival of a new alternative voice for the community.
