"Plastic China," Friday, July 13, The Backyard, Weavers Way Chestnut Hill. The movie rolls at 8:30 p.m.
Come early for a Backyard picnic — bring your own adult beverage and gather takeout from the store.
This award-winning film is the story of a vast and lifeless artificial landscape — a countryside covered almost entirely in imported plastic waste — and the men, women and children whose lives are built around it. This is a Zero-Waste event, so plates and cutlery will be available to rent from the Environment Committee, or BYO. Don't forget a blanket or lawn chair! For more info, visit www.weaversway.coop/Plastic-China.
