This Spring and Summer have been very busy as usual with many requests to fly litters of puppies and kittens.
Since April 1, 2015, we have flown:
40 dogs, 31 puppies, 13 cats, 12 kittens, 3 Degus, 4 Snowy Owls, 1 Gyrfalcon, 5 Great Horned Owls and a Peregrin Falcon.
From Northern Quebec and Northern Ontario for releases back into the wild, to Victoria BC to Halifax Nova Scotia and all points in between, our wonderful volunteer pilots have been really helping out a lot of rescue organizations.
One of the transports above had a special aspect to it.
On July 4th, when 3 planes transported 11 puppies & 4 dogs from the SPCA CÔTE-NORD de SEPT-ILES, also hitching a ride were 3 film crews. One doing a piece for CBC Canada, one doing a piece for a Quebec publication and one who was working on a one hour documentary about PNPC which will be released within the next year on a popular animal tv channel in Quebec.
We are very excited to be able to help out a lot more in Quebec as time goes on. Quebec has had the worst reputation for animal care in Canada for many years. Seeing such positive cooperation among the rescues, has been a real motivation for us to offer more.
