Click here Letter from the Equestrian WA Chairperson, Mr Ron FlemingRe: EA Voluntary Administration Meeting Proxy Dear valued members, Following the notification email sent last Friday re-proxy for the EA Voluntary Administration meeting on the Friday 19 June 2020, my response is that I will vote according to the EWA Boards decision on what is best for EWA and its members - ensuring that both the high performance / national elite along with our grass root members are catered for in the best manner. We are also in communication with the DSR to ensure the outcome does not jeopardise our ability to meet the criteria to continue to get WA government support. In the first instance, the essential action is to minimise the use of members money to pay for the Administration process which we understand will be in the range of $150 - $300k. The State Branches have been working on a restructure over the past few months, and were amazed when the Administrators were called in as the EA Board had not advised any branches of any concerns that Sport Australia had with their management of grants, nor of their financial concerns. The State Branches continue to work closely and cohesively towards a solution to this issue and following the meeting with the Administrator on Monday evening will be in a better position to determine the next steps. If you are unable to attend the meeting, I recommend that you nominate me as a proxy for the meeting by filling in the Proxy Form and returning it to ea@kordamentha.com upon completion. I understand that this process may be slightly complexed, therefore please refer to the instructions or the sample form here for guidance on completing the form.
