That could be an election called after the UK leaves the EU in October by a Tory leader hoping to cash in on delivering on his central promise. At least as likely, I think, is an election before exit, called by
a PM who says his path has been blocked by intransigence in Brussels and anti-democratic elites at Westminster: give me a mandate to deliver Brexit at last, he would urge voters.
