Seven months of treatment, four hours away from home was a challenge Remy and her parents were not prepared for. I am grateful we could provide them with an apartment at one of our accommodation centres, but we couldn't have done it without you. Families likes Remy's need your support. This tax time I urge you to make a much-needed tax-deductible donation before 30 June to ensure no family has to face the toughest battle of their lives alone. You can read more of Remy’s story below. Kind regards, Eric Wright REMY'S STORY OF HOPE Remy was just two when she was diagnosed with a rare and serious blood disorder. The specialist treatment she required was a four hour drive from her family’s home, and was going to take seven months. Thanks to you, Remy and her family found a home away from home at one of our patient accommodation centres. Remy’s parents, Gillian and Lee, were able to focus on helping their little girl win her battle instead of worrying about where their family would sleep at night. Gillian told us, “without Fight Cancer Foundation, we might not have our daughter with us today. It allowed Lee and I to fight the best fight we could to save our daughter.” FIGHT CANCER FOUNDATION TAKES HOME $5000!
The end result was a draw, and Fight Cancer Foundation received a $5000 donation! Thanks to the incredible Aussie team – Footy Colours Day ambassador Eliza Hynes, Gavin Robertson, Emma Checker, and Kristiana Manu’a. A huge thank you to XVenture and ecostore for including us in your series, and making such a generous donation to support people living with cancer and their families. In 2019, Fight Cancer Foundation is celebrating its 30th anniversary. To commemorate, we will be sharing historical milestones in each issue of our E-News.
