SH2 & SH29A Right lane closures will be initiated while the Te Maunga and Baypark splitter islands and roundabouts are removed and replaced with a temporary alternative. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Sunday 4 November to Thursday 8 November 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
Owens Place A contra flow remains in place during service relocation works in the verge next to HomeZone. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Sunday 4 October to Saturday 10 November 2018. Nights & days: ongoing.
SH2 - northbound Truck and trailer movements through Site Access Points 3, 4 and 6 to deliver pumice, sand and aggregate for roading and stone columns. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Monday 5 October to Friday 9 November 2018. Days: 9am to 4pm.
Matapihi Road Lane closure required during excavation of test pits near Owens Place. Temporary traffic signals will manage vehicle movements on the one open lane. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Wednesday 7 November 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
Owens Place Owens Place entry closed during excavation of test pits near Home Zone. Detour through Home Zone car park. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Thursday 8 November 2018.
Nights: 8.30pm to 6am.
SH29A Closure of SH29A between the Te Maunga and Baypark roundabouts to install stone columns and new line marking. Sign posted detour will be in place. Traffic delays are expected. Friday 9 November to Monday 12 November 2018. Nights & days: 9pm Friday to 4am Monday.
Long-term traffic management
• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga roundabout and Concord
Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.
• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.
• Access onto State Highway 2 / Maunganui Road from Exeter Street is closed for approximately 18 months.
• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
Advanced notice of significant works
SH2 - TEL Northbound lane closure required while barriers are placed near the Te Maunga intersection to establish a new work area. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Sunday 11 November to Wednesday 14 November 2018.Nights: 7pm to 6am.
Matapihi Road Lane closure required between Maunganui-Girven intersection and the rail crossing to install a water main pipe. This section of road will be reduced to one lane and managed by temporary traffic signals. Traffic delays are expected. Sunday 18 November and Monday 19 November 2018.Nights: 7pm to 6am.
Matapihi Road A contra flow will be in place between Owens Place and the rail crossing during installation of kerb and channel near Home Zone. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Tuesday 20 November to Thursday 22 November 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
