Bp Forum Focus

As many of you know, our Bp Forum is an active online community of Best Practice users who openly share tips, ideas and suggestions, and ask escalated support or operability queries.  We invite you to visit our Bp Forum and share the knowledge with Best Practice power, beginner and intermediate users.

It’s been a huge job migrating thousands of Forum posts to the new website, but we are getting there.

This is the first of a regular series on using the new Bp Forum (a suggestion from one of our regular users!).

When you’re looking for a post in a topic – the order is from the original question or comment, then in chronological order, down to the most recent comment.

So how do you find who said what when? Take a huge topic like Missed Diagnosis – with 3,688 posts. The easiest way to find the most recent post is to look at the page boxes at the top right-hand side of the topic.

On that one you’ll see 148 is the final page. Click on that box and it will take you to the most recent page.

Bp VIP.net Clinically Focused

For Australian and New Zealand users of Bp VIP.net

Graphically track any measurement over time with Bp Vip.net

The Medical Desktop in Bp VIP.net allows you to graphically track any numeric data entered over time. Interventions like surgery, medication regimes, diet change etc, designed to affect the measurement, can also be shown in the graph.

In our example during the visit on 13/02/17 the physician has entered a value of 21.2 mm/L for “Measurement X” and performed intervention2 on the Assessment Page.

The graph produced by BpVIP.net shows Measurement X graphed over time showing the intervention when Measurement X reached 21.2 and its subsequent drop in value due to the intervention.

Examples of values that could be tracked over time include: BMI, weight, waist circumference, visual acuities, intraocular pressure, blood pressure, HbA1c, respiratory rate, abduction angle… any numeric value you can think of.

Stay connected with your patients

For Australian users of Bp Premier

Did you know that Bp Premier gives you the option to send SMS reminders from your appointment book?

This can reduce the number of “no show” appointments, integrates seamlessly into the Bp Premier Management Appointment Module and simplifies communication with your patients – saving time for your staff and improving your patients’ experience.

With Indigo SP1 coming soon, this will feature a Clinical Awareness Module, where SMS can be used to recall a patient, advise “results are ready” and record all contact attempts more efficiently.

So get set with Best Practice SMS now and take immediate advantage of streamlining appointments and your team will then be set-up for the exciting new enhancements soon to be released.

If you’d like to know more, email us on sales@bpsoftware.net and we’ll send you some more details on how Bp SMS can save your Practice time and money.

Bp Connect + Evolve hailed a success

Two of our Bp Connect + Evolve Roadshows were held this week – the first one in Brisbane on Tuesday and the second in Sydney on Thursday, with the sold out Melbourne session is being held next week.  There are plans to do more Roadshows in other capital cities in the future.

Bp’s Chief Operating Officer Craig Hodges, who attended the first workshop in Brisbane on 1st May, says they have been very successful.

“Connect + Evolve (C+E) has been a great way to connect with our Best Practice users and gather their input in the evolution of our products. They have featured an exciting design-led user think tank and software innovation roadshow, where our product experts have engaged face-to-face with real users of Bp software products to gauge their thoughts, opinions, feedback good and bad, and ideas for our products in their life. It really has been a fantastic opportunity for users to help guide the future direction of our software products,”

“We've publicly invited healthcare industry experts knowledgeable in using Best Practice products - including Practice Managers, General Practitioners, Nurses, Specialists and Allied Health professionals.  Though we've launched the roadshow event in some capital cities in Australia, it's our hope that we'll embed C+E into our product design and development culture, and of course take the concept to other Australian capital cities and our New Zealand market in the future.”  Mr Hodges said

Thanks Dr Gason!

We received this lovely “thank you” recently from Dr Bill Gason. Thanks for your support over the years Dr Gason. We wish you all the best for a long and happy retirement.

I wish to thank you for your most friendly, helpful and professional service, at all times since my commencing approximately eight years ago.

I commenced many years ago with the commencement of Hi-Soft and have been with several other software companies. I am not IT literate and use a tech to perform the software aspects outside my range but Best Practice and your most helpful support saved me financially and time wise. I could concentrate on being a doctor!
Thank you and your staff.

Kind regards
Bill Gason
