Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Welcome to the last week of term!

School Closure Day - A reminder that this Friday 25th June is a School Closure Day. On this day staff will be undertaking Professional Learning and planning for Semester 2 and Brenton will be updating our server to bring it into the 21st Century.

Parent/Teacher Interviews - Parent/Teacher interviews are being held tonight and tomorrow night, if you haven’t booked in to see your child’s teacher please book in via the Parent Access Module (PAM) or ring the school to make an appointment. It is important that all parents make contact with their child’s teacher before the end of term.  Also, a reminder that student Semester 1 reports were released last Friday and can also be accessed on PAM.

Sand Pit - A huge thank you to Sean Hemeter for extending our sandpit. The sandpit is one of the most popular places to play in our yard and fitting all the eager students into it was becoming tricky. Now that the sandpit has doubled in size there is room for more mines, roadways and extra crops in the sandpit and everyone is much happier! Thank you Sean.

Enrolments - Enrolments for next year are open and if you know of anyone that would like to send their child to our school please encourage them to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Enjoy the holiday break and let’s hope we have lots of sunny days to recharge us all for Term 3.

Kind regards,

Libby Hamilton

Week 10 Prayer

As evening came on that day (Jesus had been teaching crowds in parables from a boat just offshore) he said to his disciples, ‘Let us go across to the other side.’ Leaving the crowd behind, his disciples took Jesus with them in the boat, just as he was. Other boats were with them. A terrible windstorm arose, and waves beat into the boat so that it was being swamped. Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion; the disciples woke him up. ‘Teacher, don’t you care that we are perishing?’ Jesus awoke, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea – Peace! Be still! Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. Jesus said to his disciples –  Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith? They were filled with great awe and said to one another, ‘Who is this that even the wind and the sea obey him?’

In our strength and in our weakness, we worship you, O God.                          You will use us when we are strong and support us when we are weak.           In our youth and in our mature years, we worship you, O God.                      You are with us in laughter and in play when we are young; you give us wisdom as we grow old.                                                                                      In our doubting and in our faith, we worship you, O God.                                    You will inform our doubts and confirm us in our Christian faith.                          In our reflection and in our service, we worship you, O God.                                You are present as we pray, and you are the selfless spirit behind our care for others. In all the contrasts and changes of life, we worship you, loving God! Amen.
