Calm Your NervesThere are a lot of stressors in the world right now, a lot of things that make us worry. Here is one way you can help begin to manage the rough days and calm your nerves. List what is worrying you, give your worries a "name". Sometimes seeing it on paper helps the worry not seem as big. Come up with a plan with possible solutions. If 2020 has taught us anything, it's that nothing is predictable. But, when we take control by knowing what is worrying us we can begin steps toward less worry and more happiness. Staying Healthy During Flu SeasonWe've learned ways to reduce COVID transmission and now it's flu season. Here are some easy tips to prevent both! Don't forget, if you feel sick contact your medical provider. 1. Get your Flu Shot 2. Practice personal distancing when in public and if you're sick stay home 3. Drink plenty of water 4. Exercise 5. Eat healthy foods 6. WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN 7. Get plenty of rest 8. Wear a mask/cover your mouth/nose when you cough or sneeze. What's Going on at ColCARES? This year has been a whirlwind of changes and adjustments, for everyone. Beginning October 1, we will resume onsite HIV & HCV testing by appointment only. You can click the ColCARES logo to email an appointment request or request a Home HIV test kit mailed to you. In order to protect our clients, we will remain providing our core client services remotely or by appointment. Appointments will be made at a time to allow for personal distancing. Anyone coming to an appointment at ColCARES for testing or client services will be requested to wear a mask (mask provided if you don't have one) and temperature taken at the door. |
