Submit your abstract for APhA2025 now!

The deadline to submit an abstract to APHA 2025 is October 2nd. APhA is seeking abstracts for the APhA2025 Contributed Papers Program that represent pharmacy-focused scientific research and innovations in pharmacy practice. Projects must address issues relevant to practicing pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. More information at the button below. Haddon Heights Fair - Volunteer Opportunity

Interested in getting some volunteer hours for IPPE requirements and having some fun? This is a perfect opportunity for you! Come volunteer and enjoy the Haddon Heights fair on Saturday, October 26th at Haddon Heights, NJ in 2 hour time slots. If you are interested in signing up please fill out the google form below. All of the details will be in the google form.

SNPhA - Vaccine Clinic Volunteers Needed!

Looking for IPPE community service hours? Volunteer for the Chester Vaccine Clinic taking place at Chester Upland School District Athletic Field on Saturday October 5th from 9am to 2pm! This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and educate about the importance of vaccines. Volunteers will be able to administer vaccines, help patients complete paperwork, screen patients for eligibility, answer questions about vaccine safety and efficacy, and observe patients for any vaccine reactions. You do not need an immunization license in order to participate. Sign up using the QR code in the flyer if you are interested! IPhO VIP Case Competiton Applications DUE Tomorrow!

Get involved with IPhO and hands on experience in the drug development process by participating in our IPhO VIP Case Competiton. You'll have to opporunity to work on the clinical development plan of a mock drug across multiple functions including regulatory affairs, medical affairs, clinical development, and marketing. PPA Eastern Regional Meeting

Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) is having its Eastern Regional Meeting on our campus. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with pharmacists, residents, and fellows from various fields of pharmacy and understand more about pharmacy careers.
When: Saturday, October 12th, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm
Location: Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at SJU
Cost: $30 for students and new practitioners

We encourage everyone to attend the regional meeting by clicking the button below for registration. 


The Dean's office has been generous and will be reimbursing $20 to every student who attends the meeting but you will have to purchase the registration yourself initially. To get reimbursed please fill out the travel stipend form and choose “Regional or State meeting” for the meeting type.


Once you have done that please upload your registration receipt to the form below for the dean’s office to process your reimbursement. You must attend the full meeting to get reimbursed by the dean’s office. 


Afterward, we’ll be hosting a Student Mixer at The Post (129 S 30th Street Philadelphia) starting at 2 PM. You won’t want to miss this chance to meet other students and have fun! 9/26

Last Call - ISO student volunteer(s) to serve on PCP's DEI Task Force!

The PCP DEI Task Force is still accepting applications for one to two student member(s) to join the team! This will be a one year commitment, with the opportunity to extend to a second year. We meet virtually once a month and will ask the student to contribute to and participate in various initiatives throughout the year. Most importantly, this representative will provide a student's perspective to our discussions. No prior leadership experience is required! The application form can be found below. 154th NJPhA Convention in Atlantic City

Interested in local New Jersey state legislation? Come discuss things like immunization, opioids, hormonal contraception, and law at the annual NJPhA Convention on November 16th at the Harrah’s Waterfront in Atlantic City. This is a great opportunity to learn more about state legislation and to even present research! Student registration is covered by the PCP Deans Office and needs to be submitted for reimbursement at least 3 weeks prior. No hotel reservation needed and carpool can be arranged. APhA-ASP Operation Immunization - SJU x Albertsons (ACME) Flu Clinic

Are you still looking for community service hours? Or just an opportunity to gain more immunizing experience? Albertsons (ACME Markets) is hosting a flu clinic on both Hawk Hill (10/7 and 10/10) and UCity(10/8). We are taking 3 student volunteers per time slot! Eli Lilly Discovery Day: Great Industry Opportunity for P1 and P2s!

Background: Eli Lilly Discovery Day is a two-day leadership conference where you can learn about the industry, network, and enhance your professional skill sets through developmental workshops. It will be held on March 20-22, 2025 this upcoming year.

Accepted student arrivals will begin on March 19, 2025. Accommodations will be
provided for students traveling more than 50 miles. Lodging, food and beverage
for all students will be provided by Lilly. 9/23

 

Attention P3 students: Wondering where you should complete your Ambulatory Care APPE Rotation?

Consider pre-committing at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center! Dr. Quinn and Dr. Scaletta each take APPE students in the Endocrinology team where they manage patients with diabetes. Get hands-on experience conducting patient appointments, working collaboratively with other health care professionals, and getting a glimpse into clinical pharmacy at the VA, where pharmacists have a scope of practice which allows them prescriptive authority to make therapeutic changes directly.
