Second version of the asset management data standard

We will release the second instalment of the Asset Management Data Standard on 30 October for review and feedback. This release will include further development of the cross-Agency Location Standard. The significant concept of zones will also be released. Zones will allow us to capture multiple overlays to transport assets including environment, heritage, safety, speed, multi-modal lanes and land use areas such as stopping places. Release v0.2 will then complete the "devices" group and will include electronic signs and other ITS assets, physical traffic controlling devices like traffic islands, and street lights.

More workshops will accompany each new release

As we roll out releases, Waka Kotahi will continue to hold workshops because of the valuable discussions created and feedback received. New workshop dates will be advised when new versions are released.

Hear what some of the workshop attendees had to say:
"It was really worthwhile going through it, it's made a big difference to understanding how it's going to work" - Pam Brown

"I'm inspired by your new standard! I am writing a learning journey/thesis on intellectual capital in NZ and one topic is doing compliance smarter" - Brigit Manning.

"This is awesome. We are trying to design a H&S system knowledge model at WorkSafe as well (using ontology and semantic methodologies). Keen to chat on this with your team" - Ganesh Salvaraj.

"Great work, well done to the AMDS team! There has been a lot of hard work gone in to it to get to this stage. The standards will be a key enabler going forward" - Phil Wall.
