COVID-19 Vaccines: New guidance for providers and participants

The NDIS Commission and Australian Government Department of Health (Department of Health) have released new guidance and resources about the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • The Department of Health has issued a new Disability Provider Alert, which contains important information about Phase 1b.
  • We have published web pages with information about the vaccine for providers and participants.

Fact sheet: What NDIS participants in residential disability accommodation need to know about the COVID-19 vaccine (NDIS Commission)

Our new fact sheet for participants contains information about the vaccination program, and explains how your provider should be preparing for it. It also contains links to resources about the vaccine.

Please share the resource with the people you support, and their families/guardians. It will soon be available in Easy Read, Auslan and other languages.

Provider alert from the Department of Health

The Department of Health has issued the next COVID-19 vaccination – Disability Provider Alert (19 March 2021). The alert addresses important information about Phase 1b of the COVID-19 vaccination program.

This provider alert along with other resources and information about the COVID-19 vaccine rollout is available from a dedicated web page for disability service providers on the Department of Health website. This page will be updated regularly.

The Department of Health will update the Information for people with disability about COVID-19 vaccines with further information about the phase 1b rollout shortly.
