Due to COVID-19, our services at the Sexual Health Centre have been limited. Until further notice, we are no longer providing liquid Nitrogen treatment for management of genital warts. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing

Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing (NAAT) for anal and oral gonorrhea and chlamydia is now available through the Public Health Ontario (PHO) Laboratory
Testing is now validated for these sites with the existing Hologic Aptima collection kit previously indicated only for cervical and urethral specimens (Kit #300210) or the new Hologic Aptima multitest collection kit (Kit #300294)
- Please note, due to the pandemic, PHO Laboratory is only able to provide limited quantities of these collection kits based on need
Collection kits can be ordered by completing PHO’s Requisition for Specimen Container and Supplies order form
Testing is recommended for any individual where there is a clinical concern of rectal or pharyngeal gonorrhea or chlamydia

Syphilis

Syphilis rates are on the rise in Niagara
Treatment with Benzathine Penicillin G is available for order at no cost through the Sexual Health Centre’s Sexually Transmitted Infections Medications and Condoms order form

Vaccine Order

HPV-9 (Gardasil®9) is available at no charge for men who have sex with men who are 26 years of age or younger who identify as gay, bisexual as well as some individuals who identify as transgender.
Gardasil®9 can be ordered for your patients through the High-Risk Vaccine Order Form
Routine vaccines can be ordered by completing the General Vaccine Order Form

The Sexual Health program has launched a new Health Care Provider Info-Line. For any questions, please call the info-line at 905-688-8248 ext. 7720.
- Phones are answered from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Health care professionals are able to leave a message and a nurse will respond as soon as possible
