Singing for ChildrenWest Australian Opera, with the support of Healthway and Act-Belong-Commit, is proud to offer free singing lessons for children. The Singing for Children initiative is led by Perry Joyce and explores the top 10 operas worldwide. Every Friday from now, until the 3 July, singing workshops will be available on the West Australian Opera YouTube channel. Singing is a fantastic way to keep mentally and physically healthy. 'Talk to Me' student courseWith support from a Healthway Exploratory Research Grant, Curtin University developed a Massive Open Online Course on mental health and suicide called 'Talk to Me: Improving mental health and suicide prevention in young adults'. Students can also access a two-week version of 'Talk to Me: Managing study, stress and mental health at university'. Improving the mental health and wellbeing of Western Australians is a key priority for Healthway. Find out more. Hockey WA hosted online education seminars on governance, volunteers and healthy club policies. Junior footy work outThrough our Go for 2 & 5 healthy eating partnership with WA Football, junior footballers around the state can participate in #WorkOutWednesday. The online initiative is about kids having fun with the football in their backyard. The skills and drills videos are facilitated by the junior coaching team, and focus on fundamental movement.
