Regional Multi-Use Trails StrategyA project to develop trail-based recreation and tourism opportunities in the Cassowary Coast and Tablelands Regional Council areas which is also an excellent exemplar for other communities looking to build similar multi use trails. Dates & Times (QLD) Registration Info will be available soon on the AAAS website, in the AAAS Newsletter and via QORF. 2019 Get Started Vouchers OpenRound 13 of The Get Started Vouchers program opens 8:00am on Wednesday 6 February and provides eligible Queensland children and young people aged 5 to 17 (inclusive) who can least afford to join a sport or recreation club with a voucher valued up to $150 for membership and/or registration fees. Read More Soft Skill SurveyResearch about what affective abilities, aka soft skills, are used by leaders and educators in the outdoor sector. The purpose of this survey is to learn more about your perceptions about the soft skills used by leaders in facilitating outdoor experiences. It is planned to use the info to support the training and development of affective abilities.
Scenic Rim Trail Project UPDATEApproval was granted to Spicers Retreats to “To construct and operate a five to six day supervised bushwalk trail and four associated campsites from Mt Mistake to Spicers Peak Nature Refuge, within and adjacent to the Main Range National Park, Queensland” by the Australian Department of Environment and Energy on the 18 January, 2019. Read More UPLOADS Control GroupUPLOADS have recently received Ethics Approval to commence recruitment of their “Control Group” and are seeking to sign up suitable participant organisations who will not use the UPLOADS App, but continue using their own existing systems but form part of the evaluation by contributing information.
