We are pleased to provide you this project update.In August, the Ratts 1 Solar Project received important local approvals to advance the 150-megawatt solar field. We wish to thank the Pike County Council and the Pike County Commission for the thoughtful review and votes to approve an Economic Revitalization Area, Economic Development Agreement, Decommissioning Agreement, and Road Use Agreement between the county and the solar project. We thank the landowners who have voluntarily leased their land for this project, as well as the broader community for their support and recognition of the economic benefits that the Ratts 1 Solar Project will bring to Pike County. Throughout this process, Capital Dynamics and Tenaska have shown their willingness to be a good business neighbor. There is no zoning in Pike County, and we agreed to put parameters on our project. These steps illustrate our intention to be a good business neighbor. The Ratts 1 Solar Project in Pike County is a $128 million project to be located on roughly 1,200 acres in Jefferson and Washington townships. With a few remaining development items still to complete, construction is anticipated to begin in 2021 and last for 12 to 18 months, during which time the project is estimated to create 188 local full-time jobs and contribute over $19 million to the Pike County GDP. Commercial operation is expected to start before the end of 2022 and continue for 35 years.
