Nanna’s Secret Carrot Marmalade
Sunday, July 16, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Weavers Way Chestnut Hill
Hoda, the owner and purveyor of Nanna’s Secret of Bucks County, will set up shop in the back of the store to offer tastes of her Egyptian grandmother’s carrot-orange "marmalade." Demo dude John Connor will present a quartet of cheeses — two raw and two pasteurized, two local and two from afar. From Valley Milkhouse Creamery in Berks County, he’ll have Lady Slipper, an apple cider-washed raw milk fromage, and Blue Bell, a sweet blue sheep/cow combo. From Jasper Hill Farm
in Vermont, he’ll offer up Willoughby, whose rind is washed in a gose from Lost Nation Brewing, also of Vermont. Lastly, he’ll head down South to Sweet Grass Dairy
of Thomasville, GA, proffering Green Hill, a soft-ripened cow’s milk in the style of Camembert.
NEXT WEEK: Breakaway Farms Meats
