Our Next Meeting
Barnet VCS Environmental Network
Thursday 20 May
10.30 - 12 noon
If you've already been to one of the first two Barnet VCS Environmental Network meetings then you'll automatically receive an invite and zoom link for our third one on 20 May. If you've not joined us yet, then do sign up via eventbrite. These are informal and informative networking sessions for those working in the Barnet VCVS, where we can come together to discuss environmental issues in the Borough, and work out how we as a sector can make a difference. This networking group will raise awareness of environmental projects that are happening in the Borough, help to establish partnerships and joint initiatives and seek funding opportunities. TO BOOK

Environment Pledge
Civil society leaders commit to ambitious action in pursuit of climate justice
Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO)
As the voluntary and community sector commits giving the climate crisis the urgent attention it needs. Charity leaders’ network ACEVO has published a pledge to provide a shared commitment for sector leaders to acknowledge the scale of the crisis; to be ambitious in their pursuit of climate justice (both as leaders of individual organisations and as a collective voice for civil society), and to act wherever they can to create progress. VCOs interested in adding their name to the pledge just need to get in touch with info@acevo.org.uk and provide information outlining the practical actions your organisation will take, which will be a useful resource for leaders starting their journey in this space. CEOs, chairs of trustees or senior leaders can make this pledge, as long as they are able to send a written commitment or action statement about their plans, which will be linked on ACEVO’s website.
