Dear White Ribbon Supporter

We're asking New Zealanders 'what kind of guy do you wanna be?' and we need your help to get the message out.

This year we we are focusing on three aspects of relationships:

  • Gender power relationships
  • Risky male behaviour during conflict
  • Consent / sexual violence

Fundraising

For the first time we are using a tool called Everydayhero to make fundraising easier. This is an online platform that is fun and exciting to use.

We have set up a White Ribbon campaign page at everydayhero. From there you are able to register your own fundraising activities, invite your friends, colleagues and team mates to donate, or simply support other people's activities. We will celebrate your efforts and  recognise and thank our top supporters by providing prizes. We can also supply you with photographs, updates, stories and inspirational messages to help your fundraising activities. Merchandise and Resources

The White Ribbon Ride is set to launch across New Zealand from 20th November. For more information about the ride email contact@whiteribbon.org.nz or click here to download the latest itineraries to see where the ride is going and when.  There are three North island Rides and one South Island Ride. White Ribbon Shield

The White Ribbon Shield football tournament was held in Ashburton on the 6th with a really good turnout of around 200 people including Julian Bowden CEO of Mainland Football and members of the Junior All Whites  in attendance. Click here for more information.
 
 
 

Charity Cases

Elle and Gillian take Enterprise as a subject at school and have taken part in the Young Enterprise Scheme project in which they start up and run a business. They  were inspired to help their community, and formed Charity Cases. So far they have raised $2700 for the three charities, including White Ribbon. White Ribbon Committee

The White Ribbon Committee gets together every second month and during each meeting, we hear about events and activities. This month we were excited to learn about the Diwali 'East Meets West' event. Click here for more details.
