Welcome to our new CEO
Matthew Brown
2018 is destined to be a fantastic year for Equestrian Victoria. Not only do we have newly appointed board members, in January we also welcomed Matthew Brown as our CEO. We are all excited to work under Matthew's guidance and we congratulate him on his appointment.
"I am pleased to be working with you as your CEO and look forward to the year ahead. This will be my first opportunity to introduce myself to most of you and say 'Hello'.
In 2018 we will focus on consolidating an organisational structure aligned with our strategic priorities of supporting:
- Sport development
- Membership and
- Events
The EV team will achieve this through a commitment to organisational excellence underpinned by good governance.
I look forward to sharing the vision of Equestrian Victoria's refreshed board and management in the months to come.

New board and discipline chairs
Over Summer, EV welcomed new board members, discipline chairs and appointments.
Peter Dunne has been appointed Chair of Equestrian Victoria, with Show Horse Victoria Chair, Mitch Fox, as Vice Chair. We also congratulate Clint Rose as the Jumping Victoria Chair, Julia Battams as Dressage Victoria Chair and board members Veronica Steward and Carl Parkin.
They join the experienced team of Janet Houghton, Eventing Victoria Chair and Tom Lupton, to lead EV through a busy calendar for 2018.

Our congratulations to Mary Hanna, who, with her stunning mare Calanta, claimed the single available qualifying spot for the FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2018 Final in Paris.

Jamie Kermond
Victorian, Jamie Kermond riding Yandoo Oaks Constellation, finished 4th in the Longines Grand Prix of Hong Kong (1.6m), and at one point had the honour of sitting in the number one podium position in front of a huge crowd.

- Show Horse Victoria has a new coordinator! Deena Peters, former Dressage coordinator, will now bring her expertise to Show Horse.
- Entries are open for the Wini Equine Autumn Show, 10-11 March 2018 at WPNEC. Details and Entry.
