The farmers market offers a unique outlet for farmers and shoppers to directly engage one another in a way that doesn’t happen anywhere else. The community can meet the folks who grow our food, learn about their farms, and directly support their work through shopping. Bite attendees can try up to 25 restaurants with one ticket in our Phinney Center Upper Parking Lot. Neighbors and businesses are looking forward to this new event, too. Martino’s chef and owner Chris Martino shared, “Having lived here for many years I'm excited to have this type of event. Phinney Ridge has some amazing restaurants and I'm excited to see everyone doing their thing.” Everyone who buys tickets before Sept. 2 is entered to win gift cards from participating restaurants. Become a PhinneyWood sleuth »Mission MomentThe Grievers Library launched their first Book Box at the GSC on Aug. 11. “A Grievers Library, offering free books for bereaved children, teens and adults, is a medicine cabinet filled with love potions that belongs on our streets—for easy dispensing to those afflicted with heartache and despair,” shared their Project Manager Pamela Belyea. Our Senior Programs Director Cecily Kaplan adds, "We are so proud to be part of this project. We're honored to host this little library of healing and comfort and that we can be part of supporting those in the greater community who are dealing with profound grief and loss."
