Family partners in mental health wantedWe are looking for families and/or caregivers who have experience within the child and youth mental health system to help plan and transform child and youth mental health services in Niagara. Introducing the Youth Wellness Hub Niagara (YWHN)The YWHN is a youth-driven initiative increasing access to needed services for youth in South Niagara. Any youth aged 12-25 can access all services on a walk-in basis, including mental health and addiction counseling, employment and housing support, primary care services with a nurse practitioner, and drop-in recreation and cultural activities at our three sites in Welland and Fort Erie. Darcy's storyMy name is Darcy Patrick. I am an author of three books on mental health. I talk about how I won my life back from the darkness of depression. I also explore how using meditation as a therapeutic focus for overactive minds can be helpful. Writing became my only voice when I didn't have one.
