Understanding Charter Public School Accountability in Missouri MCPSA is pleased to release, Understanding Charter Public School Accountability in Missouri. This is the first in a series of papers we are publishing to promote a better understanding of charter public schools and the important role they play in providing quality public school options to Missouri public school students. Understanding Charter Public School Accountability in Missouri uses law and standards to provide an accessible, fact-based overview of the mechanics of charter school accountability. Our objective was simple, develop a resource ensuring all parties involved in charter public school accountability have a clear understanding of their authorities. We hope you find this paper to be of value as a resource. Responding to a Freedom of Information Request Public schools are required to respond to FOIA requests. However, requests must be "reasonable" and take into consideration staff time and expense. MCPSA and our legal counsel, Stinson LLP, are here to help navigate these requests.
