UAFP Family Medicine Day on the Hill 2020There are several healthcare-related bills up for consideration by the Utah Legislature this year. This event is one of the best ways to interact face-to-face with lawmakers during the legislative session. Lawmakers will be debating issues such as: - Access to and payment for telemedicine
- Prescription drug prices
- More consistent healthcare coverage for children on CHIP or Medicaid
- Medical treatment for transgender minors
- And many other important issues that could affect YOUR practice and patients...
We will provide lunch, a brief legislative tutorial, help you with talking points, and be right by
your side the entire day as you engage with your legislators during the 2020 Utah General Legislative Session. When: Thursday, February 13th, 2020 @ 11:30am – 2:30pm (End time is approximate. You are welcome to leave anytime) Where: Utah State Capitol – We will start at the Senate Building and then head to the Capitol Building. Detailed map and parking instructions will be emailed out to attendees.

Join the Utah AIDS Education and Training Center April 1 - 3, 2020 for the 2nd Annual HIV Prevention in Primary Care Conference! In addition to updating and expanding on topics covered last year for returning providers, the conference will continue to provide basic information regarding HIV prevention and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for new providers. Rural communities have unique challenges, yet great opportunities to foster partnerships and collaborations for improved health and well-being.
