Dear Parents,
One of the greatest blessings of serving in an Episcopal School is the ability to have the capacity to celebrate the beauty and joy of the Advent/Christmas Season. It is a gift to be able to share the true meaning of the season with the children and to plant seeds of hope, joy, and love during this precious time.
This month, your children learned about the gift of hope by contributing to the Salvation Army Angel Tree project. Our students donated well over 300 gifts to children whose families are under financial hardship. These are children who, without the generosity of people in our community, might not otherwise receive gifts for Christmas.
With joy being the Fruit of the Spirt for the month of December, the children learned that joy is an attitude which can be easily found in the way we love and serve others.
And, finally, they learned the lesson of God’s perfect love for his children by celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ during the traditional sixth-grade Lessons and Carols Service. This was a beautiful way to remember the true meaning of Christmas as we worshiped together as a school family.
All of us at Beaches Episcopal School wish you and your family a safe and blessed holiday and look forward to your return on Wednesday, January 3rd.
Fondly,
Martha Milton
