In the short term we continue to work hard to educate and train the international trade, whilst also pivoting our road trip message through Tourism Australia and Visit Victoria to a domestic audience as Australians look to holiday at home.

Tourism Australia and Visit Victoria coordinated a virtual training session for the Indian market on the 13th of May. Great Southern Touring Route featured with a 20-minute presentation by Brendan Sanders on the new International Trade Manual using the Great Southern Touring Route website as a key resource. Over 386 agents tuned in, and a follow up email has been sent.

On the 19th of May, Angie our China representative, participated in a Visit Victoria webinar to Chinese trade. Training over 200 agents on your products, this wedinar helps ensure the Great Southern Touring Route message remains relevant and front of mind. A follow up email was sent to these agents. We are currently having our new International Trade Manual translated into Chinese.

Ina is gathering some great market intelligence for us in regard to Germany opening up its lock-down and the desire of the German consumer. Ina has been in constant contact with the key distributors in this market and will engage over the coming months to assist in training and keep Great Southern Touring Route active in the consideration set of the German Travel Trade.

You may be finding that some distribution channels are changing and you are getting requests and engaging with various new stakeholders. This is a great time to engage and forge new relationships and partnerships. At this time please ensure any new partner is fully aware of your rates, terms and conditions and property detail, don’t assume they know all the detail of what you offer and be comfortable with arrangements made.
