Carpool Thank You

Thank you so much for being so patient during morning and afternoon carpool. We are still adjusting to a combined campus with a few more children. It would be very helpful if you would keep the flow of traffic moving forward during the carpool line. Our patrols are allowed to unbuckle children in the morning, but they cannot buckle them in the afternoon. Afternoon carpool will ease up as soon as after-school activities start.

In the morning, if you feel like you must get out and escort your children out of the car, we ask that you park and cross the street at the crosswalk.

A Note About Lunch

Lunch on the patio is a little smoother now with the change of lunch times. The majority of the children are enjoying eating outside, and it will improve greatly as fall approaches. Our teachers have been giving feedback that it is comfortable with the blue awning in place. On days when the heat is overwhelming or on rainy days, students may eat in their classrooms.

Donate Gently Used Shoes During Shoe Drive for Soles4Souls Through September 17th

BES is excited to take part in a Shoe Drive for Soles4Soles, an organization that provides gently used shoes for people of all ages, locally and internationally. BES families may bring in their shoes to the front office now through September 17th. We hope many of you would give generously to those in need. St. Paul's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church will be taking our donations and sending them to Soles4Souls after the Shoe Drive concludes.

Watch the "Power of a Pair of Shoes" video.

Learn more about Soles4Souls here.

Soles4Souls was founded as a disaster relief organization after philanthropists and shoe executives provided footwear to those most impacted by The Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Soles4Souls was officially formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2006. They continue to act as second wave responders providing footwear and clothing to those In need during times of disaster.
