2021 GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESOLUTIONS
The first Resolution Packet is posted on the SSCCC website at this link. The packet contains more than 25 resolutions that the Delegates attending the General Assembly will consider to guide the SSCCC into next year. We highly encourage students to discuss these resolutions in your student body associations, clubs, regions, and where ever student leaders are gathered.

The resolutions in this first packet can be amended through the SSCCC Amendment Process by February 17, 2021. More information about the process can be found on the SSCCC website at this link. In addition, we have posted a very brief webinar about how to make amendments to resolutions on the SSCCC YouTube Channel, as well as a webinar about how to study resolutions. Check it out if you need help.

We will also hold a webinar on March 20, 2021, about how to prepare for the discussion at the General Assembly including the resolution debating session. Look for more information via our listserv or website calendar.

If you have any questions about the resolution process, please feel free to reach out to the chair of the Rules and Resolutions Committee Katherine Squire at vp@studentsenateccc.org.

The CCC LGBTQ+ Summit is a great opportunity to collaborate with all members of the California community colleges. This conference shall serve as a safe space to share experiences and present ideas to better serve the LQBTQ+ students in our diverse system. In order to encourage and empower change at all levels, this year's summit will focus on identifying intersections, establishing services and curriculums of inclusion, and transforming campus cultures with the fundamental understanding of equality and justice for all.

Jorge Silva, Region X Regional Affairs Director

There are many in our California community colleges who do not have access to meetings, conferences, events, or activities because accommodations are not available to them. It is very important for student advocates to set the example in our communities on how important it is to provide accommodations for all people, and that includes the Deaf community. This Town Hall will provide the do's and don'ts for interacting with Deaf people, stories on the Deaf experience, tips on how to interact with Deaf people in any environment, and how to begin your journey as an ally to the Deaf community.

If you want to help build a bridge between the hearing and the Deaf in your college, please join the Deaf Awareness Townhall on March 12th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

SSCCC Fun Facts

Historically, regions have created their own logos to be the identifier for their collaboration of colleges. Students within the regions have been given the opportunity to express their creativity and artistic skill by creating logos. Here is a previous logo from Region 8. Enjoy!
