Principal's Message Dear Families, Thank goodness we live in the country and we are able to come to school. I feel for our city counterparts who are currently in lockdown and returning to remote learning. Let us all keep abiding by government expectations so that we can avoid another lockdown. All of the practices that we put in place during Term 2, will remain for the foreseeable future. Today a letter and instructions went home with your child regarding our new uniform ordering system using CDF Pay. We believe this will make life much easier for busy families. Please take the time to read the information as we will no longer be using the yellow order forms. Yesterday we welcomed two new students to St John's. Isla Healey (Year 1), her parents Lorelle and Jarod, and her siblings Chaise & Patrick and Stella Keramaris (Year 4) and her parents Julie and Nick. Both families have escaped the city just in time and we hope they enjoy their time here at St John’s and in Euroa. Thank You - Thank you to Scott Embling for cleaning out the drain that runs along the side of the tennis courts. The blocked drain wasn’t allowing the water to flow through and made half of the courts unusable. Thank you to Sean Hemeter for the work he has completed around the school over the holidays. He has installed new shelves into the uniform shop and display boards outside the art room and staffroom. Thank you to Brendan Allen (Elders Euroa) for the enrolment boards on Binney and Anderson Streets, that he very generously donated. Brendan is the son of Mrs Allen, our music teacher, and has recently moved home from Melbourne with his family to work with Elders. Before and After School Care - Before School Care began yesterday. We welcome Samantha who will be running the program each morning. Before School Care begins at 7am and includes breakfast. If you are interested in sending your child, please go on to the TheirCare website to register your child. Lisa will continue to run the after school session, and it has been pleasing to see that most afternoons we are averaging about 10 students. Annual Report - The Annual Report can be viewed on our website. Or you can request a hardcopy from Andrea or myself. Have a great week, Libby St John's acknowledges the Taungurung People as the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, play and live. Calendar of Events
Religious Education Week 1 – Sower Naidoc week The parable of the Sower is simple, yet rich with wisdom and truth. Matthew 13:1-23 Help me to grow in faith so my relationship with you is not shallow and weak, but a deep and mature faith. Grant me a faith that can move mountains of doubt and oceans of fear. Teach me to triumph over temptation. Help me to believe in you, even when I do not understand the capricious nature of the weather and the cruelty in some people. Lord, I am yours. Take me as I am. Shape me. Make me. Mold me into the person you would have me to be. Through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray. Amen. Amen.
