SWIM FITOur Swim Squad, known as Swim Fit, is now offered more often, with additional times added on Wednesdays, Thursdays and even on Sundays. AQUA PLAY GROUPIntroducing our new Aqua Play Group — an exciting opportunity for you to splash about with your bub. The new FREE Aqua Play program, provides parents with the opportunity to get in the water with their bub and familiarise themselves with water, learn water safety skills, develop water confidence and bond. Led by an instructor, during the lessons there will be songs, games, submersions and floating. IS YOUR CHILD READY FOR SUMMER?According to the Royal Life Saving National Drowning Report 2018, 27 children aged 14 and under died as a result of drowning in Australia between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2018 — 18 children were aged four and under. Being able to swim is an essential life-saving skill. Children of any age or ability can take part in swimming and it is more accessible for children with additional needs than almost any other sport. Swimming is lots of fun and children love getting in the water and enjoying themselves. However, it’s not just about fun — swimming also provides many health and wellbeing benefits. Health, fun, and confidence are not the only reasons why your child should learn to swim — learning to swim also opens up
the door to a range of other activities. CARNEGIE SWIM CENTRE CAULFIELD RECREATION CENTRE GLEN EIRA SPORTS AND AQUATIC CENTRE |
